From April 15th, 2016 to May 6th, at the
Guangzhou Acmdemy of Fine Arts City Museum of art, the Art Museum of the
University of Guangzhou Acmdemy of Fine Arts will be held “where to dare to ask
the exhibition of Wu Yalin and teachers’ sculpture works”. This exhibition was
led by Professor Wu Yalin after the three exhibition of the National Art Museum,
Pingshan Branch, the ancient Yuan Art Museum in Zhuhai, and the Raoping Li
Cheng Art Museum. A dozen of her disciples returned to the exhibition site,
Guangzhou Acmdemy of Fine Arts.
The more than a dozen other young artists who
participated in the exhibition were Wu Yalin’s “good students”, among them,
such as Lu Yuefei, Su Jinju, Zhou Wei, and Lin Jing, emphasizing the noumenon
of sculpture, and the emphasis on materials and ideas like Peng Cheng, Zhang
Haipeng, Weng Zhen Wei, Guan Ruoyu, Guan Ruoyu. It emphasizes new technology
and new means.
Although each young artist has distinct personality and
different works, they all embark on the traditional Chinese fashion and explore
in their respective directions. At the same time, they are different from
teachers, but different from each other. From this point of view, Wu Yalin’s
teaching is successful, and it is worth learning from art educators.
